Hours & Rate Guidelines
All nanny placements require a minimum guarantee of 25 hours per week. We strongly encourage 30+ guaranteed hours for more sustainable placements, a larger candidate pool, and greater scheduling flexibility for your family. If your needs are between 25–29 hours per week, we recommend offering a minimum of $30/hr or more to reflect the smaller candidate pool and attract committed, career-focused nannies. If your childcare needs are below 25 hours, we invite you to explore our On-Call Sitter Membership for flexible, vetted coverage whenever you need it.
IMPORTANT
Role Consistency During the Search Process
Our agency recruits based on the position as defined at the start of your search, including the guaranteed hours, schedule, compensation, and scope of duties. The candidate pool we build, the caregivers we approach, and our recruiting strategy are all shaped by this initial definition. We ask families to give careful thought to their long-term needs before the search begins, so we can match you with candidates who are the right fit from day one.
MINOR ADJUSTMENTS
Small scheduling tweaks or modest compensation changes are manageable and handled at the agency's discretion. We understand that real life requires flexibility.
REDUCTIONS IN HOURS OR PAY
Reducing guaranteed hours or lowering compensation does not reduce or reclassify the placement fee. Fees are based on the role as originally defined and recruited — not on adjustments made after the search is underway.
SIGNIFICANT INCREASE IN SCOPE
Expanding from part-time to full-time, adding five or more hours per week, or significantly broadening responsibilities may require a revised agreement, a fee adjustment, or a new search. We'll always discuss this with you openly.
Best practice: Define your long-term childcare needs as clearly as possible before submitting your application. If your needs may change, let your coordinator know upfront: we can build that flexibility into your search strategy from the start.
