Minimum guaranteed hours depend on the placement type. Full-time placements require a minimum of 35 guaranteed hours per week. Part-time placements require a minimum of 20 guaranteed hours per week. We strongly encourage 30+ hours for more sustainable placements and a larger candidate pool. If your needs are between 20–29 hours per week, we recommend offering a minimum of $30/hr or more to attract committed, career-focused nannies. No. The placement fee is calculated based on the role as originally defined and submitted — including the guaranteed weekly hours, hourly rate, and scope of duties. Any changes to hours, compensation, or role structure must be formally submitted in writing to the agency before a placement is confirmed. If a family reduces hours, pay, or responsibilities after the search has commenced — including at the point of hire — the agency reserves the right to either enforce the original placement fee in full or treat the revised arrangement as a new placement. This is most common with part-time placements where tiered pricing applies: starting the search at 30+ hours, then reducing to fewer than 25 hours at the end, does not reclassify the fee. The original tier and fee structure remain in effect.

All changes to hours, pay, or role structure must be submitted in writing to your placement coordinator before any candidate is presented. The agency cannot retroactively adjust fees based on changes made after recruiting has begun. If a material change is requested mid-search, your coordinator will review whether the revised role constitutes a new placement tier. Changes that reduce compensation or hours do not reduce the placement fee — they affect only the candidate pool going forward.
